Very sad experience
ULTA is no longer a decent co.
Not so well
Oh well Mario Badescu
I went into Ulta Beauty to buy some rosewater spray. I choose the Mario Badescu brand.
I noticed signs that said try this and get a free gift or try this from Mario and get a bag with samples. I spent 20 min reading which trial kit I wanted to try. I get to the register and I mentioned my free gift from Mario, the sales person was super short with me. Oh let me look, oh we have no more.
Do you want it? I said no and where is the manager. she then said oh I will look again. Without all the small details.
I received bad customer experience and was not able to try the Mario skin care brand.
I really would like to be more detailed about this experience, I am going to choose the high road. oh well Mario really wanted to try your skin care line but a lady at the register didn’t care that I put it back over so Simple samples.
WORST COMPANY EVER-ULTA
Placed $171 order online that was never delivered- was told I need to call my bank and dispute the charge because they are not responsible once it leaves their warehouse. When I asked why the customer service lady blocked my email address so that I could not write back!!
I have spent so much money here over the years, from now on I will go to Sephora. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Also called and wrote their FB all with no help. Basically I'm out $171 and nobody is taking responsibility for it.
My bank said that is not the process that they should be telling us. Oh and the woman that blocked my email was a supposed "supervisor".

Cashier had the flu
Tried to tell management to send her home. They didn’t act concerned.
Said they would talk to her. I’m so upset. Called coorperate and they didn’t seem concerned either. Said they’d get back to me in 24 to 48 hours.
By that time she could have infected hundreds of people. She admitted she had a fever and is on meds. I explained to her that the flu medication she is on does not stop it’s spread just shortens the duration of the illness.
There have been several flu deaths in the area. I’m so mad no one took me seriously.

Preferred solution: Full refund with statement made in written for bank records that it was an IT probelm on ULTA. I do not want my record hindered because a mistake was not mine. I would like compensation for the trouble I had to go thru to retrieve proof of the error.

To say the least this place is addicting and will get you to part with more money than you can afford to, not to mention that if you look on Glassdoor the employees have rated this place as being low paying, which would explain why I had so much trouble getting my credit card back from them the other day. Also, it's obvious that they don't provide any training beyond the cash register, for the most part.
if you're looking for advice, forget it.
You most definitely do not want to ask about tips on how to apply your makeup because every time I go in there these young ladies makeup is on way too heavy and their eyebrows are just plain scary, lol. Anyway after being a loyal customer for several years, they have shown no loyalty or appreciation to me and I was not expecting to be treated special but I was not expecting to be treated in such a way where I felt like I was in danger.
Want a simple answer
Preferred solution: Ulta employees should be required to let customers know what the company does with customer phone numbers BEFORE asking if they want to sign up for the rewards program.

Ulta customer service said she would cancel the order, and then ...
...I got a voicemail from a number supposedly in NORWAY: +47 432. That phone number is not long enough to be from Norway.
I couldn't call back with a number like that. ___________________________________________________________ Since I called within 30-60 minutes, I would have expected that they could cancel the order. The customer service rep couldn't CHANGE the order, The caller stated that ulta did not cancel orders. She said she would cancel the order.
I've since read their policy. They must be the only American company which doesn't change orders or cancel orders.
Too bad the whole world is not like Amazon. I will never be a customer of Ulta again.
