Recently this Tuesday I went to Ulta in Stonecrest in Charlotte North Carolina for a makeup application. I was attending a drag show in Charlotte and decided to pamper myself and have my makeup done by somebody who could probably do it better than me.

I called them, confirmed how long the makeup application would take and made an appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early the day of and was situated in my chair with my makeup "professional". I told her I had allowed an hour for the makeup application because I had to leave at a certain time in order to be on time for the show I was going to, she said that was fine and we got started. She spent 20 to 25 minutes scrambling around the store looking for products to use on me and finally almost halfway through my makeup application finally started putting products on my face.

She applied eyeshadow primer and started doing my eyes and applied lashes. The lashes were really uncomfortable as she put them too close to the inner corners of my eyes and my eye makeup looked like my six-year-old son had done it. At that point in time I actually had to leave to go to my show but she kept trying to put products all over my face to finish including primer, concealer and foundation, I kept telling her I had to leave but she didn't really seem interested in listening to me and I'm not the type of person to run out of a store without paying. When I finally got out of the chair and hastily paid for something I wasn't impressed with and ran out the door I was 35 minutes late leaving for my show.

She basically had done primer, eyeshadow and lashes (badly) , didn't even touch my eyebrows, barely put any face makeup on me and didn't set anything with powder. I was 35 to 40 minutes late for a show that I paid $100 to go to because some unprofessional woman at Ulta was assigned makeup applications and she honestly seemed to have no idea what she was doing. I removed my lashes and most of my makeup in the car before I got to the show because it looked that bad. I did take pictures but they didn't come out very well.

Beware of Ulta they have people doing makeup that have absolutely no idea what they're doing. It took this woman an hour and 15 to an hour and 30 minutes put makeup on my face and it looked like a five-year-old did it and there was things she still didn't even touch (like brows). I could have done my makeup better myself at home in 45 minutes. Not only did I waste $52 to look like *** I was also incredibly late for a show that I paid a lot of money to go to.

Way to go Ulta, I will never have my makeup done or purchase makeup from this location ever again. Yes I'm a Sephora girl now.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Brunswick, Ohio
